We practice psychiatry as it was originally intended. We put particular emphasis on a holistic healing process. A full biopsychosocial assessment informs our providers to balance medication management with psychotherapy.
Dr. Raj moved to the United States in 2003 after graduating from medical school in India. He completed residency in Psychiatry from Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he also served as the Chief Resident. During his training, he was recognized for excellence in medication education with an outstanding teaching award from the medical students at the Stritch School of Medicine. He moved to Houston in 2009 after accepting a faculty position with Baylor College of medicine. As an Assistant Professor with the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Raj actively participated in supervising residents, and integrating mental health treatments into community health centers across Harris County Hospital District (now known as Harris Health System). He worked in a group practice in the Kingwood area from 2012 to 2015, before going into solo practice. Dr. Raj also served as the Chief of Staff as well as the Medical Director at Kingwood Pines Hospital between 2015 to 2020. Dr. Raj enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.
